Simone Hennerbichler-Lugscheider

MPharm, PhD

Simone Hennerbichler-Lugscheider holds a master in Pharmacy and a PhD degree from University Graz, Austria. Since 2006, she is Head of Production at the Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service of Upper Austria in Linz. Furthermore, she is Responsible Person in the Tissue Bank department and Qualified Person for blood and medicinal products.

Prior to that, she was involved in stem cell and tissue regeneration research at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Experimental and Clinical Traumatology in Vienna and Linz, with main interest on amniotic membrane, and was teaching at the University of Applied Sciences in Hagenberg, Austria and the Institute for Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University Graz, Austria.

She has published a number of scientific papers, is member of various scientific organizations in the field and actively involved in several national and international working groups and projects on cell and tissue banking.

Currently, she is Board Member of the European Association of Tissue and Cell Banks (EATCB) and represents the association at the EDQM European Committee on Organ Transplantation (CD-P-TO) and the Executive Council of the World Union of Tissue Banking Associations (WUTBA).

Diletta Trojan

Diletta Trojan was born in 1987 in Treviso. After a degree in Biology, she worked at a laboratory at Pierre et Marie Curie Université  to obtain a specialist degree in Medical Biology. 

Since 2013, she has worked in Fondazione Banca dei Tessuti del Veneto (FBTV), at the beginning as an assistant, and after a few years as a Quality Manager.

From 2018, she became the Director of FBTV.

Diletta Trojan was the President of the European Association of Tissue and Cell Banks (EATCB) (2021-2023), and she is a member of the World Union of Tissue Banking Associations (WUTBA).

Since 2023, she has been the President of Italian Association of Tissue Banks.
