Upgraded and Revised Standards and Guidelines

The AATB Standards Committee has upgraded and revised multiple Standards for Tissue Banking pertaining to various definitions of terms, archiving of donor samples, processing and storage of tissues, qualification and maintenance, requalification and recalibration of equipment, annual calibrations and domestic shipment of tissue. In addition, two guidance documents pertaining to tissue donor physical assessment and donor suitability and acceptability for non-transplant anatomical donations were approved by the Standards Committee and the AATB Board of Governors in 2018.
