Review of the Australian Eye and Tissue Sector

The Commonwealth of Australia has convened the jurisdictional health departments, TGA, funding agencies and eye and tissue banks to progress the review of the tissue donation and transplantation sector in Australia. The work aims at providing direction as to the future governance, funding and policies that will deliver an efficient and sustainable sector. Work should be concluded within 12-18 months, supported by additional work on the Ethical principles being developed by the National Medical Research Council (NHMRC).
