2018-19 Master and Postgraduate Programs in Donation and Transplantation

We are pleased to inform you that the registration for the 2018-19 Master and Postgraduate programs in Donation and Transplantation is now open. Its main goal is to bring together the knowledge, skills and best practices which benefits healthcare professionals working as donor-transplant coordinators, tissue bankers and advanced cell therapies researchers.

This is a blended Master Degree program of the University of Barcelona which brings together academic training and practical experience under the same degree, via online and face to face modules. Participants can choose up to four different training pathways (Organ Procurement, Organ Transplantation, Tissue Banking & Advanced Therapies, or Leadership, Quality and Management in Organ Procurement & Transplantation) each consisting of three theory modules, six-weeks internship and a final dissertation.

These four modules can also be undertaken independently, outside the formal Master Program. By attending one module and two weeks of practice, a Postgraduate Degree certified by TPM will be obtained.

In addition, a PhD pathway can be also undertaken via the Master's Degree of the University of Barcelona: Master in Clinical Investigation, specialization in Donation and Transplantation of Organs, Tissues and Cells (60 ECTS). The main aim of the program is to provide graduates in the biomedical and health areas with research skills necessary to access PhD studies. Master's approach aims to improve all the competences related to research methodology, from the clinical context of each of the involved specialties.
